2. What it is not?

Ganttic is not an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. ERP systems include much more functionality like sales, purchases, inventory systems, accounting and so on. Ganttic does just scheduling.

It is also not a complex project management software although it has good project management capabilities.

3. What is resource planning?

Resource planning or scheduling is used to assign the available resources in an economic way.

4. Why an enterprise should schedule its resources?

Resource standing with no use is waste of money. Equipment might be leased and while You pay the installments, it brings no income. Human resources need weekly/monthly paychecks and if no work is provided the employee still wants to get paid. Careful resource planning can save a lot of money.

5. Are there signup fees or termination fees or any other hidden fees?

No, there is not. We don't charge signup fees, termination fees, or any additional fees. You will pay for used resources and users only. For details see our pricing page.

6. How your free account is limited? What functions are accessible in free account?

Free account can have up to 5 users and 10 resources. No functionality is limited. Free user can enjoy all the same full set of features as paid accounts. Smaller organizations can do with free account forever without the need to upgrade.

7. Can I install Ganttic schedule software in my corporate server?

Yes, you can. Server edition has different pricing and needs a qualified server administrator to set it up. Read more about installation, hardware requirements and ordering from here.

8. What are the minimal requirements for the server to install Ganttic?

Minimum server requirements would be limited with underlying Java Application Server. We recommend JBoss (min version nr 5.0.1)

Best host opertaing system would be Linux.  We recommend Debian distro. MySQL database server

9. Can you make a custom version of Ganttic with special features for my company?

We are working hard to make Ganttic suitable for every companies needs. We do not offer programming service or customization, but if you have a great idea for a feature what makes Ganttic more functional without compromising the ease of use, drop us a line.

10. What languages are available in Ganttic?

At the moment Ganttic is only in English. You can name your resources, processes and all the custom data fields in your native language and alphabet (latin, cyrillic, hebrew, chinese, japanese). In the future more languages will be added.

11. Where is my data stored? Is it secure?

We do realize that you are trusting us to look after a lot of very valuable information.So our number 1 priority is to keep your content safe and secure. We keep our application and database in rackspacecloud.com - one of the leading application hosting providers. 

First you should delete some users and resources to fit in 5 users and 10 resources limitation. Then go to your account page and decrease maximum number of users to 5 and resources to 10. That's it! Your credit card will not be charged again.

Sure thing. Go to https://account.ganttic.com , log in and on top-right corner click on "Remove account" link. After confirmation your account and data will be erased. NB! This can not be undone.

We do not have API yet. You can purchase Ganttic to be hosted in your corporate servers and make the data exchange with MySQL database in any way you like. Order server version of Ganttic from here.
